The Foundation of S.F. Success

The Foundation of S.F. Success

"The Foundation of S.F. Success" is a pastiche by Isaac Asimov of a Gilbert and Sullivan patter song from the comic opera "Patience", describing how he became a successful writer. It is included in his short story collection "Earth is Room Enough" (1957).

It includes the classic lines: "With a tiny bit of cribbin' from the works of Edward Gibbon and that Greek,Thucydides"; probably referring to the inspiration for the Foundation stories.
