Usnech

Usnech

In Irish mythology, Usnech (also known as Usnach, Usna or Uisliu) was the mother of Naoise and two other sons, all three of whom were killed by her brother, Conchobar mac Nessa. The Deirdre story is also called the "Exile of the Sons of Usnech", found in the Book of Leinster, and a prequel to the "Táin Bó Cuailnge".

Finnish progressive metal group Amorphis featured Usnech on their first album "The Karelian Isthmus" on a song "Exile Of The Sons Of Uisliu".
