Latvian Air Force ( _lv. Latvijas Gaisa spēki) is the aviation branch of the Latvian armed forces. The total number of personnel is 247. The air force has no air combat capability, thus the defence of Latvian air space is maintained by NATO, with rotating detachments of four aircraft to Lithuania at four-monthly intervals (see Baltic Air Policing).
