Parish of Braunstone

The Parish of Braunstone was a geographical boundary for the Village of Braunstone linked to Braunstone Hall in Leicester. Aspects of the village remain forming a divide between two estates of housing which grew around it from 1935 onwards. The Braunstone Estate, a development of Council housing which features Braunstone Park, the remaining land of the former Country Home, Braustone Hall and the estate what is now referred to as Braunstone Town, a development of 1930's private housing which until 1977, retained the name of The Parish of Braunstone.
