The Great Wall of Goryeo (Hangul : 천리장성, literally "The long wall of 1,000 Li (里)"), is a defensive wall built between 1033 and 1044, crossing the North Korean provinces North Pyongan, South Pyongan, and South Hamgyong, passing through these cities :
* Uiju (Hangul : 의주 Hanja :義州)
* Hangul : 위원 Hanja :威遠
* Hangul : 흥화 Hanja :興化
* Hangul : 정주 Hanja :靜州
* Hangul : 영해 Hanja :寧海
* Hangul : 영덕 Hanja :寧德
* Hangul : 영삭 Hanja :寧朔
* Hangul : 정융 Hanja :定戎
* Hangul : 영원 Hanja :寧遠
* Hangul : 평로 Hanja :平虜
* Hangul : 삭주 Hanja :朔州
* Hangul : 맹주 Hanja :孟州
* Hangul : 운주 Hanja :雲州
* Hangul : 청새 Hanja :淸塞
* Hangul : 안수 Hanja :安水
