Hassan Djamous

He led Chadian forces during the Chadian-Libyan conflict, such as the victory in the Battle of Maaten al-Sarra.

Djamous was killed on orders of Hissène Habré, a former President, who suspected him of plotting a coup d'état along with his cousin, Déby, and Mahamat Itno, Minister of the Interior; Déby was the only one of the three who survived.cite web |url=http://hrw.org/justice/habre/habre-police.htm |title= Hissène Habré |accessdate=2007-02-04 |work= The Political Police Files |publisher=Human Rights Watch ]
