CUNY TV (CUNY; acronym pronEng|ˈkjuːni) is a non-commercial cable station in New York City, part of The City University of New York's university system. It provides tele-course programming varying from mathematics, physics and biology to history, art and social studies. It also provides cultural programming with shows in German, Spanish and French. The station re-broadcasts Amy Goodman's "Democracy Now!" twice a day, as well as daily world news in English from Deutsche Welle.In addition CUNY TV airs a weekly foreign film showcase "City Cinematheque" hosted by CUNY Professor Jerry Carlson.

Original Programming

The station produces and co-produces a number of original series at its studios in New York. After original airing on cable the shows are archived and streamed on-demand, for free at the station's website. Some series currently in production are [http://cuny.tv/series/] :
* "African-American Legends" profiles prominent African-Americans;
* "Brian Lehrer Live", a live call-in show hosted by the WNYC radio host;
* "Building NY" and "The Stoler Report" series about real estate and business leaders of the Metropolitan region;
* "Canapé", series devoted to French cultural events in NYC and the US;
* "City Talk", hosted by political scientist and commentator Doug Muzzio;
* "Eldridge & Co.", hosted by former NYC Council Member Ronnie M. Eldridge;
* "Independent Sources" brings news and views from New York's ethnic, immigrant and independent media;
* "Nueva York" explores Latino culture in New York's metropolitan area;
* "Study With The Best", magazine-style show profiling success stories from The City University of New York;
* Nationally-syndicated "Theater Talk" and The American Theatre Wing's "Working in the Theatre" are shows about theater industry.
