Federation of Student Islamic Societies

The Federation of Student Islamic Societies (FOSIS) is a national umbrella organisation aimed at supporting and representing Islamic societies at colleges and universities in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. FOSIS was established in 1962 and is currently affiliated with 150 universities and 600 colleges, representing over 90,000 Muslim students. Background

FOSIS plays an important role on the student and youth fronts, as it is one of the largest representative organisations of Muslim youth, and the largest representative group of Muslim students, in the UK and Ireland. FOSIS is affiliated to the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), the umbrella organisation for the majority of Muslim organisations in the UK.
