Plot

J.D. and Turk are extremely happy that Isabella's new nanny (Heather) is a very attractive girl. Turk tries to hide his attraction to the new nanny from Carla but fails after she catches him watching footage of Heather on the NannyCam. In order for Turk to not be attracted to her, he asks J.D. to take Heather out on a date (Turk finds all girls J.D. goes out with to be hideous). Unfortunately, they fail to hit it off, and Carla fires Heather. She and Turk later discover that Heather is actually a racist thief.

Dr. Kelso suspends Elliot after she uses a dog to try to cure a patient with the help of the Janitor. She later realizes, with the help of Carla, that she has not once thanked Dr. Kelso for her training. She does so and shows her appreciation by giving her deceased patient's dog to him to replace Baxter. By the end of the episode, Dr. Kelso ends Elliot's suspension and begins talking to her again.

Meanwhile, Dr. Cox enters into a debate with Laverne as to whether everything is part of a greater plan, but he eventually acknowledges her need to believe that things happen for a reason. The next day, however, he learns that Laverne has been in a car accident on the way to work and is now in a non-responsive coma.

The episode ends with Dr. Cox staring through the window of the unconscious Laverne's hospital room, as the words "To Be Continued..." appear.
