List of biosphere reserves in Mexico

Mexico's Biosphere Reserves (or "Reservas de la Biosfera" in Spanish) are federally-recognized protected areas in Mexico that are administrated by the federal National Commission of Protected Natural Areas ("Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas", or CONANP).

They are areas representative of one or more ecosystems unaltered by human activity, or that require preservation and restoration, in which species representative of the national biodiversity live, including those in danger of extinction [http://www.conanp.gob.mx/anp/rb.php] .
