Ian Payne (cricketer)

Ian Roger Payne (born May 9, 1958 in Kennington, London, England) is an ex-Cricketer.

He began his career with Surrey County Cricket Club in 1975 until 1984 and won The Cricket Society Wetherall Award for the Leading All-Rounder in English Schools Cricket in 1976. Payne joined Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 1985 until 1986, and then later Shropshire County Cricket Club in 1994. He retired in 1997.

Payne was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm bowler. Payne now lives at home in Dolywern with his wife Jools and 3 kids Naomi(16) Max(14) and Holly(11)
