"Sleepaway" is the debut album by the Buffalo, New York, indie rock band Sleepaway released by No Milk Records.

General

The album was released in the United States on June 6, 2006 and was recorded from December 2005 to January 2006 at Watchmen Studios in Lockport, New York. Alan Douches mastered the album at West West Side in New Windsor, New York. Doug White recorded, mixed, and engineered the album with production by White and the members of the band. The album comes with a slipcase featuring the artwork commonly associated with the album, while the front cover of the insert features a more distorted version of the slipcase artwork. Critical Reception

Although few music authorities reviewed the album, those that did review "Sleepaway" gave it high marks. UpBeetMusic.com called the album "nothing shy of stunning" while "Smother Magazine" stated that "silky smooth guitars complement the vocal harmonies well and glisten it with a shiny veneer of talented songwriting." "Smother Magazine" also chose "Sleepaway" as its editor's pick.
