Jeffrey Alford

Jeffrey Alford

Jeffrey Alford is an American-born Canadian food writer, best known for cookbooks co-written with his wife Naomi Duguid.

He was born in Laramie, Wyoming [http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/spotlight_columnists/article/0,2777,DRMN_23962_4312498,00.html] and graduated from high school there. He earned a master's degree in creative writing at the University of Wyoming. [http://www.torontolife.com/features/spice-world/]

He left Wyoming to live in Ireland and travel the world. He met his wife on a bike trip in Tibet in 1985.

Alford and Duguid have two sons, and live in Toronto, Canada.
