Craig Gill

Craig Gill (born Craig Douglas Gill, 5 December 1971, Salford) is a British musician. He is the drummer and youngest member of the Oldham based indie band, Inspiral Carpets.

Drummer Craig Gill aged 14 joined Inspiral Carpets Graham Lambert (guitar) and Ste Holt (vocals) in 1985.

He was resident DJ at nightclubs The Boardwalk, and Stone Love @ The Hacienda in the mid nineties.

When Inspiral Carpets split in 1995 he formed Proud Mary with song writer and guitarist Paul Newsome whom he had known from fellow Oldham'ers and support band The Ya's Ya's. Proud Mary went onto record for Noel Gallagher's label Sour Mash. Inspiral Carpets re united in 2003 and are still currently touring. Craig continues to DJ for the Tokyo Project and also runs Manchester Music Tours, which operate music related guided tours around the city,
