Kunt and the Gang is a band based in Basildon, Essex, following in the tradition of 80's Basildon based electronic pop acts Depeche Mode and Yazoo.

The band are well known for their risqué lyrical content, dealing with many taboo subjects including masturbation and their fantasy to engage in sexual intercourse with Carol Vorderman, ex-co-host of Channel 4's Countdown programme.

Formed in late 2003 by Kunt (one of the founder members of Essex rock combo Serious Problem) the group underwent a line-up change even before the band's first gig in December 2003 at the Castlemayne pub in Basildon supporting Retail Outlet, with Andy Kunt (aka And' Job) being replaced by Little Kunt.Despite reports of unrest within the camp this line-up has remained to the present day.

A residency at the Castlemayne pub in 2004 led to Kunt and the Gang receiving interest from national press including the NME and adult interest magazines Fiesta and Knave.

The band released their debut album 'I Have A Little Wank And I Have A Little Cry' in 2005 on indie label Disco Minge Records.In December 2006 a live DVD followed, entitled 'Viva Bas Vegas', and the band's second album 'I Have Another Wank And I Have Another Cry' was released in March 2007.

After England got dumped out of the Euro 2008 Championship the band released an MP3 on Myspace called "I've Had My Last Wank For England".

In December 2007 the band released a single entitled "All I Want For Christmas Is You (To Bring Me Off)". This featured 4 festive tunes and buyers of the CD could get it signed with their own personal message.

The bands 3rd album, the final part of the "Wanking and Crying Trilogy" was released in May 2008. Predictably titled "One Last Wank And One Last Cry" it features 13 tracks including live favourites "Pubes" and "I'm Gonna Lick You Out". As a taster the band released a song cut from the final album entitled "Air Hostess" to their Myspace friends.

Kunt has said he is not going to listen to Jesus and that "One Last Wank And One Last Cry" is NOT the last album he will be releasing, just the last of the Wank and Cry trilogy.

In the latter part of 2008 Kunt and the Gang have released acoustic versions of "Shaven Haven" and "Have A Wank" online and also a single "Men With Beards EP". This contained 3 versions of Men With Beards as well as 3 other tracks. One of which "Barry Didn't Do It", was a tribute to the release of Barry George who served 8 years for the murder of Jill Dando. A crime he did not commit.

Kunt supported the Men With Beards EP with his longest ever UK Tour. Part of the tour gimmick is that Kunt will not shave until the tour is finished, to get into the mind of a beardy.
