Shirgaon is a village in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. It comes under Chiplun taluka division of the district. The town of Chiplun, convert|13|km|mi|0|abbr=on is the closest urban area. Shirgaon is located on SH 71 (Guhagar Bijapur Highway)

Shirgaon is village with long and rich history. It has been a market hub for centuries. In early days it was halting point for the traders who were bringing their goods from the Ghat region (Karad market) to Konkan via Kumbharli ghat.

Shirgaon is one of the main Villages of Dasapati (Ten villages belonging to Shinde Family in earlier days)

Shirgaon is blessed with the blessings of Goddesses Mahakali, Sukhai and Varadayini the main temple is located in Kumbharli. It is welknown and visited by many devotees regularly. In Shirgaon temple, these goddesses are known as Pindubai (as earlier the goddesses were in form of Pindi's (round)). Shirgaon has two Hanuman temples and one Lord Dattatraya temple.

Shirgaon is famous as an educational node in surrounding areas because of 'Shirgaon Highschool Shirgaon' a school, which is built by the villagers with help of 'Rayat Shikshan Sanstha' founder Hon. Karmveer Bhaurao Patil.

Shirgaon is mainly divided in three parts Varachi wadi (Upper section), Khalachi wadi (downward section) and Bajarpeth (Market).

Shirgaon celebrates Ganesh Utsav and Shimaga Utsav (Chabina) with special enthusiasm. Chabina celebration in Khalachi wadi is very famous and attracts huge crowd in the village.

Shirgaon is blessed with two rivers flowing across. Shirgaon is also welknown for the innovative farmers in the village.

People in Shirgaon has lot of bonding in between and they solve their problem and disputes by seating together.
