John Gorrie (born august 11, 1932 in Hastings, East Sussex, England) is a director.

He started out as an actor before becoming assistant floor manager at the BBC. He attended BBCs director's course in early 1963 and his first jobs as a director were for the soap opera "Compact" and the anthology series "Suspense". He also directed the "Doctor Who" serial "The Keys of Marinus" which he was reluctant to do as he was more interested in directing classics.

With the co-operation of the BBC, John Gorrie also directed the so famous Picture of Dorian Gray in 1976.
