Binbashi

Binbashi

Binbashi or Bimbashi (from Turkish: "Binbaşı" "chief of a thousand") is a major in the Turkish army. The title was also used, spelled "Bimbashi", as a major in the Egyptian army in the era of Khedivial Egypt.
