Due to the high ratings of the Philippine television game show, Kapamilya, Deal or no Deal, ABS-CBN 2 decided to improve the original format of the show in 2007.The new format will be entitled Kapamilya, Deal or no Deal 4M Edition. This is short for Kapamilya, Deal or no Deal 4 Million Edition. This new format is almost the same as the previous one, except that the top prize that can be won is now 4 million instead of 2 million. In a commercial of the new format, it was shown that the 50,000 prize was removed from the board and was replaced by 4 million.
Trivia
*In one of the commercials promoting the new format of the show, the banker offered a contestant an amount greater than 2 million. The scene was cut and the audience were shown screaming and jumping in joy. This can possibly mean that there was another millionaire in the show.
