RR & CO.

RR & CO. Limited is a privately held company based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The CEO is Ms Mateja Stanič Rudolf.

Established in 1991, RR & CO. Limited has been obtaining grant funding from the European Union (EU) and Structural Funds for various international projects and providing (administrative, financial and cost) management of these projects since 2000.

In 2007 RR & CO. established the RR Virtual Corporation and started to spread the "EU PARTNERS" franchise network.

Expertise

RR & CO. Limited regularly employs 15 people, among them:

* 7 experts/consultants for grant funding projects
* 5 IT developers
* 3 Masters of Science from the fields of Computer Sciences, Sociology and Economics
* 1 licensed IPMA (International Project Management Association) expert
* 1 licensed CISA (Certificated Information System Auditor) expert

Knowledge Centre

On the basis of this multidisciplinary team, RR & CO. Limited built a fully functional knowledge centre, the activities of which are focused on:

* Aplicative research and IPR rights of public research
* Research and development (R&D) in Small and medium enterprise (SME)
* Cooperation between SMEs and RTD organizations
* Organization of companies and RTD organizations on the regional/inter-regional/international level
* Intermediaries of organization, their own organization, efficiency and suitability
* Phenomenon of virtual corporation
* Meaning of organizational models and communication in SMEs and SME collaborations
* Study of theoretical models and their practical use
* Development of own models and testing them in practice
* Identification and suitability of clear goals in strategies
* Suitability of chosen methods and actions
* Identification of obstacles to the realization of goals
* Search of suitable possible solutions for the elimination and/or minimizing of individual obstacles

Experience

Throughout the years, RR & CO. Limited has gathered a wealth of international experience on which it now continues to build the excellence and scope of its activities:

* Phd thesis with the working title: »Identifying possible obstacles in SMEs regarding collaboration between them and public institutions in the field of R&D and innovation activities« is currently being prepared by the company's Young Researcher in industry

* As adviser for financial management of projects, RR & CO. Limited currently collaborates with research institutions in Slovenia on 16 international projects (most of which are FP6 projects)

* In the period 2005-2006 RR & CO. Limited assisted in over 50 SME proposals for projects in national and international call for proposals

* In 2006 the company became representative for the EUGA (European Union Grant Advisor) initiative, initiated by Microsoft together with parthers from all European countries

* In the period 2005-2008 company is acting as an active partner on the FP6 project EASIER – Engaging regional SMEs within the ICT sector in EU research

* In the period 2005-2007 RR & CO is in charge of evaluation of the project »Assessment of Community Initiative programmes EQUAL in Republic of Slovenia for the 2004-2006 period« for the Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs

* The company's researchers collaborate as experts in Slovene partner's project management group on the following projects:
**5SCHEMES (FP6): »Transfer of European best practices to 5 NAC regions for improvement of innovation culture and skills«
**CLUNET (FP6): »Policy of clustering and exchange with the help of international themses and incubators«
**IMPACTSCAN4INNOPOL (FP6): »Assessment of impact of innovation policies on regional level«
**INNO-DEAL (FP6): »Analysis, diagnosis, evaluation, pilot actions and learning processes for joint innovation programmes«

* In 2005-2006 the project "Easy Financial Accounting and Management Tools for EU Projects (EFAMT)" (contract no. ICA1-CT-2000-50004), co-financed by the Slovenian Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, was concluded

* In 2005 the company attained LSH-ACC-Mentor Multiplier certificate

* In 2004 it updated and adjusted the methodology, criteria and documents relating to the call for proposals “Public call for the encouraging integration of companies in the Municipality of Ljubljana” to the EU standards and prepared the criteria, methodology and documents relating to the call for proposals” Public call for the co-financing of costs of international projects applications”

* In 2002 it collaborated as the local expert in an international team (half of which consisted of RR & CO.'s experts) which provided »Assessment and audit of the PHARE Implementing Agency's and associated intermediaries' capacity for the implementation and Phare grant schemes« for the EC delegation in Slovenia

* During 2001-2004 the company acted as partner in charge of the financial - administrative management of the project "Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer Strategies for Slovenia (SLORITTS)" (contract no. IPS-2000-01064) and took part in the project team as well as in the Supervisory Board.

* In 2001-2002 RR & CO. Limited independently carried out the "Easy Financial Accounting and Management Tools for EU Projects (EFAMT)" project (contract no. ICA1-CT-2000-50004) which was financed by the European Commission in the 5th Framework Programme (FP5)
