Lemont Furnace, Pennsylvania

Lemont Furnace is an unincorporated community in Fayette County, Pennsylvania located near the cities of Hopwood and Uniontown. Despite being closer to Morgantown, West Virginia and due to its distant location within Fayette County, the community is considered part of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania metropolitan area.

The cross as Jumonville can be seen any where within Lemont Furnace. There is a path through the woods near northern Lemont Furnace that take you straight up to the cross.

There are four possible ways to enter Lemont Furnace. One is from Hopwood coolspring road which leads you to a split in the road where left takes you to the main part of Lemont, going straight takes you to the north. Another route is from Starlight road in Uniontown near Nickman's Drug Store. (From Nickman's to the Interstate is considered Lemont, not Lemont Furnace.) The last one leads from Uniontown's Shady Grove swimming pool. All other routes lead to a dead end.
