Jim Pizanias

Jim Pizanias is a Greek-Australian former rugby league footballer from Sydney. He played for the St George Dragons, Newtown Jets and more recently the UTS Jets in the New South Wales Tertiary League where he has represented NSW against Queensland in 2004 and 2006. Pizanias played as a prop forward and has represented Greece on 8 occasions, making him the most capped Greek international thus far.

Jim announced his retirement from rugby league after breaking his thumb playing against Fiji A on the 7th October 2006.

He will still be heavily involved with the Greece Rugby League in the coming years and was assistant coach on the trip to Greece in October 2006 against Serbia.

Jim is an accredited player manager with the National Rugby League (NRL) and is looking forward to helping young Greek footballers fulfill their dream of playing in the NRL. He is also a partner at a leading Australian accounting firm, MP & K partners in Kograh, NSW.
