"Riders Radio Theater" is a studio recording by the Western band Riders in the Sky, released in 1988. It is available as a single CD.

This contains 18 digitally recorded selections, mock "Public Service Announcements", traffic reports, and commercials. Known for their odd outlooks, these three cowboys are some of America's favorites.

Riders Radio Theater

The show was performed live before an audience at a Cincinnatti theater. Some of these half-hour radio shows can be heard on Tuesdays at 11am (EST) on the radio station WMKV 89.3 FM, out of the Cincinnatti, Ohio area. The shows include cowboy music (including polkas), musical skits, well-known country and cowboy music guests, and episodes of the "Ongoing Saga of the Cowboy Way". The show teaches "The Cowboy Way" to those unitiated in this "life style". There is also yodeling.

The regular Sagas center around their small town, and the action ranges all over the United States and the world.

The main characters are Ranger Doug ("The Idol of American Youth") (who sounds similar to The Lone Ranger), Woody Paul ("King of the Cowboy Fiddlers"), Too Slim ("a Righteous Tater"/"The Man of a Thousand Hats"), and Joey ("the Cowpolka King").
