Athletics
Westford Academy participates in the DCL,
Dual-County League , in a number of sports. Sports teams includeSoccer ,Golf , Cross Country,Field Hockey ,Football ,Swimming ,Basketball ,Ice Hockey ,Gymnastics ,Alpine Skiing ,Indoor Track ,Wrestling , Cross-Country Skiing,Women's Ice Hockey ,Track and Field ,Lacrosse ,Tennis ,Softball ,Baseball , andVolleyball .The Thanksgiving Day football game alternates yearly between Westford and Acton-Boxborough campuses. Many high school alumni who are home from college attend the game as an informal "reunion" with old high school friends. Currently the rivalry is 13-1 Acton-Boxboro, with Westford's only victory coming in the 2005 season.
The 6th Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament (organized by Mark Quattrocchi) was held the week of March 10, 2008. This is a celebrated event throughout the student body and the faculty as well as students and teachers alike compete in small games to advance through the rounds. Students have the option to take part in the Westford Academy Theater Arts program. The Westford Academy Performing Arts Center seats around 850 people.
