Birger Jensen (born 1 March 1951) is a Danish former
football (soccer) player, who played in thegoalkeeper position. He most notably played professionally for Belgian clubClub Brugge , with whom he reached the 1978 European Cup final. He played 19 matches for theDenmark national football team from 1973 to 1979.He started his career with Danish club
B 1903 , before moving abroad to play professionally with Club Brugge in 1974. With Club Brugge, he won five BelgianJupiler League championships and twoBelgian Cup s, and reached the 1978 European Cup final which was lost to English clubLiverpool FC . He left Club Brugge in 1988, and went on to play for Belgian clubLierse SK and Dutch clubRKC Waalwijk , before ending his career back in Belgium withFC Varsenare .External links
