"Himatanthus obovatus" (syn. "Plumeria obovata" Müll.Arg.) is a species of "Himatanthus" genus in the Apocynaceae family, which is native from Brazil, typically in Cerrado vegetation. This plant is cited in Flora Brasiliensis by Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius.
