Kokri Vehniwal(Moga)

Kokri vehniwal is a village situated about 18 km North East of the East Punjabi Moga District and 7 km from the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Grand Trunk Road, near Ajitwal. The village has a population of approximately 3000, predominately Jatt Sikhs from Cheema clan. The village is undergoing various developments including a 66KV power station to serve residential and irrigation purposes. A water tank is being built to provide pollution free water to the residents. Also reconstruction of the Gurudwara sahib is in progress.

The current Sarpanch is Harbhajan Singh. His predecessors were Balbir Singh Cheema, Surinder Kaur, Baldev Singh Cheema.
