"Thirty Whacks" is the seventh song on The Dresden Dolls Live album "A Is for Accident". It was written and composed by Amanda Palmer, and recorded at a live performance on a series called "The Joint" at WBRS, the community radio station at Brandeis University.

The actual meaning of this particular song has been disputed. Certain groups dispute that it makes reference to Lizzie Borden, while others believe that its meaning will remain unknown as most of the duo's songs' meanings are unknown.
