Military Rule Medal,1987

The Military Rule Medal,1987 was an award that was instituted by the military regime of General Bantu Holomisa, who had overthrown the government of Stella Sigcau, who was the Prime Minister of Transkei.

The obverse of the medal depicts a rifle and a spear cross inside a wreath.

The reverse of the medal depicts the Transkeian Coat-of-arms and is inscribed 'MILITARY RULE MEDAL' and '30:11:1987'.[1]
