Sir Ivor (1965-1995) was an American-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who competed from a base in Ireland. Owned by American businessman and U.S. Ambassador to Ireland, Raymond R. Guest, the horse was named for his British grandfather, Sir Ivor Guest, 1st Baron Wimborne.

Ridden by Lester Piggott, Sir Ivor won important races at age 2, then at age 3 earned Horse of the Year honors for his important wins in the English 2,000 Guineas and Epsom Derby, plus in the American Washington, D.C. International.

Retired after his 3-year-old racing season, Sir Ivor was sold to a syndicate to stand at stud at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. He sired 94 stakes winners and was the broodmare sire of more than 145 stakes winners before his death at age 30 in 1995.
