Hammarskjöld trophy

Hammarskjöld trophy

Hammarskjold trophy, named after famed United Nations Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld, is an annual school event in Western Australia that enables Years 10, 11 and 12 to represent a country in the United Nations Security Council. The top 15 teams make it to the finals, held in the Western Australia Parliament House. After the finals, the top 2 teams are then selected to participate in the Evvat Trophy, a national mock Security Council event. The strength of the Hammarskjöld Trophy selection and the Western Australian speakers have been proven as all the Evvat Trophy winners come from Western Australia, and have previously participated in the Hammarskjöld Trophy.
