John Congleton

John Congleton born April 5, 1977 in Lubbock, Texas, is best known as a Grammy nominated producer/engineer/mixer who made a name for himself in the alternative rock underground via production of his own band, The Paper Chase, and for artists such as the The Polyphonic Spree, Modest Mouse, The Thermals, Smog, Bill Callanhan, Mount Righteous,Kirk Franklin, Explosions in the Sky, R. Kelly, The Mountain Goats, Swan lake...the members of Wolf Parade and The New Pornographers, Parata, Erykah Badu, Joey Kendall, The Roots, Minus Story, 90 Day Men, Autopilot Off, Marilyn Manson, Black Tie Dynasty, Bono (U2), We Ragazzi, Two Ton Boa, The Pink Mountaintops, Logh, Chin Up Chin Up, Sybris, Black Mountain, Zzzz, Hagfish, Daniel Folmer, Antony and the Johnsons, Mozella, Buddy Miles, MC Breed, William Elliott Whitmore, This Will Destroy You, Lymbyc Systym, Micah p. Hinson, Celine Dion, The Appleseed Cast, Pompeii, Vessels, the spoonfed tribe, Haymarket Riot, Single Frame, [DARYL] , and Death Is Not A Joyride. Congleton's production is usually notable by a signature dark sound and a rhythm section that is very large and enveloping. He continues to be managed by Adam Katz and Dana Childs of Tsunamni Entertainment in Los Angeles.

In addition to his production work Congleton still continues to front the indie rock band, The Paper Chase, and write music for various projects. Some of which most notable would be MTV's Jackass, the Discovery Channel, and several Halloween sound effects/music CDs..
