Akshara (Sanskrit "IAST|") may mean:
*"Akshara" is a national level student paper contest conducted by Malla Reddy Engineering College, Hyderabad, India every year.
*in Sanskrit grammar, "syllable", see Shiksha
*a consonant grapheme, with an inherent vowel, of a script of the Brahmic family.
*in philosophical terms is the opposite of the word "IAST|kṣara" "perishable", a name of Brahma.
