Annasaheb M. K. Patil (born 15 September, 1939) is an Indian politician with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He was a member of parliament in the 14th Lok Sabha of India (May 2004-Dec 2005), representing the Erandol constituency of Maharashtracite web

] , before being expelled on December 23, 2005, after the sting Operation Duryodhana. The expulsion is currently sub judice.

In the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government (1999-2004), he was Minister of State for Rural Development.

He is connected to the sugar industry in Maharashtra, and is the chairmanof the Belganga Co-operative Sugar Mills. He has a degree insugar technology, as well as an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.

Aaj Tak, Patil was caughton video accepting bribes of Rs. 45,000 for fielding questions inparliament.

At one point in the sting operation, he proposes to muster up support from a cross section of politicians and spells outa strategy to influence various parliamentary committees, for the payment of Rs 10 lakh. He also suggests a retainership of Rs. 50,000 per monthfor asking any number of questions:

These amounts, he suggests, would go towards his re-election expenses;he admits to spending Rs. 1.5 crore in the 2004 elections.

Also, he claims to be a graduate of IIT Kanpur, which is not supportedby his official biodata; he appears to be a graduate of the National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.

Expulsion from Parliament

On December 23, 2005 he was expelled from the Lok Sabha following the adoption of a motion calling for the expulsion of all 11 MPs caught in the sting.
