"Star Stories" is a British television comedy programme that takes a satirical look at celebrities and their lives. It was first shown on Channel 4 on September 15, 2006.

This light hearted and tongue-in-cheek comedy series forces open the doors of the closely guarded world of celebrity, as the lives and loves of Hollywood actors and international pop stars get satirically reconstructed - the conceit of which that a maligned star creates a hagiographic revision of their own personal life, often with a crowbarred narration putting down established facts. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the satirical strip cartoon, "Great Pop Things", which appeared for many years in New Musical Express and LA Weekly.

Star Stories is made by Objective Productions commissioned for Channel 4 by Shane Allen and Andrew Newman with Lee Hupfield producing, Elliot Hegarty directing and Phil Clarke and Andew O'Connor as executive producers.

On July 24 2008, Kevin Bishop announced on "The Charlotte Church Show" that a third series was in production, revealing that one "story" would be based on Elton John.

DVD Release

In the UK, a DVD containing all six episodes from Series One, an on-set diary, out-takes, music videos, deleted scenes and rehearsals was released on the 30th of July 2007.
