Mike Ellis (born July 27, 1958 in Perth, Western Australia) is a retired Australian professional basketball player in the National Basketball League. He was the first captain of the Perth Wildcats when they formed in 1982 as the Westate Wildcats and captained the side from 1982-1992. He lead the team to successive championships in 1990 and 1991, before being replaced by Andrew Vlahov. He was the club's leading scorer in 1983 and 1984. After ending his playing career, he stayed with the club under many roles, including general manager, assistant coach and head coach.
