Torch Keys, Florida

The Torch Keys are three islands in the lower Florida Keys, consisting of Little Torch Key, Middle Torch Key, and Big Torch Key. Little Torch Key is the most populated of the three. The names origin was named after the torchwood tree that, when burned, produces hallucinations in those who breathe the smoke. The Torch Keys may be found just west of Big Pine Key, or about 24 miles east of Key West.
