Sheikh Abdullah Jibreen

Sheikh Abdullah Jibreen

Sheikh Abdullah ibn Jibreen, is a Muslim scholar of fiqh and is a former member of the Permanent Committee for Islamic Research and Fataawa in Saudi Arabia

He issued a Fatwa against Hezbollah on July 24, 2006, declaring it illegal for Muslims to join, support, or pray for militant group Hezbollah.

The fatwa against the group related to its actions against Israel, which were a key factor in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict and was highlighted by the Western media as revealing a divide among Sunni Muslims over the issue of the Israel-Hezbollah crisis.
