Dreamfall Soundtrack is the original soundtrack album released in August 2006 for the video game '. It contains the original orchestral music composed by Leon Willett for the game, as well as several tracks by other musicians. Notably, all songs by the Norwegian singer Magnet that have been included into the game were released on a separate extended play CD. It was nominated in the Best Video Game Score category at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards but eventually lost to ' score.

OST trivia

* The last track of the album, "Faith", is 9:31 min long, however, the actual music plays for only 2:40 min, followed by six minutes of silence. At approximately 8:40, a noise similar to the "static" featured within the game becomes audible, culminating in the well-known catchphrase "Find April Ryan... Save her!" Interestingly, the voice is sightly different from Faith's, who is often heard saying these words in "Dreamfall". Based on the game's ending, some fans speculated that it may be Zoë Castillo speaking them in this case.
* The music theme that plays in the game's main menu and the first two trailers of the game is actually a combination of two tracks - "Dreamfall Theme" (01) and "Kian's Theme" (15).
* Simon Poole and Morten Sørlie are the lead sound designer and the audio director of "Dreamfall", respectively.
* "Lana and Maud" is the theme of the Fringe Cafe in Newport. The song "Rush" plays when Zoë walks home through Casablanca in the end of the game. "Faith" plays in the very end, when Winter collapses.

An extended play album has been released together with the limited edition of the game and contains four songs by Magnet (Even Johansen) featured in the game.

EP trivia

* "Be With You" is the only track that has been composed specifically for the game.
* "Be With You" plays in the lobby of Reza's apartment building (ground floor), as well as when Zoë travels to Japan and St. Petersburg, and during the closing credits. "My Darling Curse" plays when she takes a Vactrax to Newport. "Nothing Hurts Now" plays when Zoë stays in the Damien's apartment and in the very end, when she lies on her bed crying.
