Michael Mancuso

Michael "Mikey Nose" Mancuso is the former acting boss of the Bonanno crime family. Mancuso is the third acting boss since Joseph "Joe" Massino was arrested in 2002. Mancuso took the leadership role after the second acting boss, Vincent "Vinny Gorgeous" Basciano, was indicted and jailed on November 19, 2004. However, Mancuso's reign over the family proved to be very short, as he was arrested on February 16, 2006 and charged with federal racketeering and murder charges. At the time of his arrest, Mancuso held position of caporegime, or 'capo' from the Bronx faction of the family, just like his predecessor, however, sometime in 2007 or 2008, Mancuso was elevated to the official Underboss position.
