Stand Up For Your Rights Comedy Gala

Stand Up For Your Rights Comedy Gala

The "Stand Up For Your Rights" Comedy Gala is an annual comedy benefit night which aims to raise money and awareness for Amnesty International Australia. Each year, Australia's best Comedians perform to help raise funds and awareness for Amnesty International Australia and its campaigns. Now in its fifth year, the Stand Up For Your Rights Gala has become a favourite among Australian comedy fans.

The event was first held in Melbourne in 2003. It was originally inspired by similar comedy nights held in the UK titled The Secret Policeman's Balls.

In 2007, the event will be held at Her Majesty's Theatre on Saturday 6 October.
