Bootstrap Network

Bootstrap Network

The Bootstrap Network is where people help each other start businesses through trust and support. Influenced by the successes of the Open source model and successful entrepreneurs like Richard Branson, it encourages development through modular groups and on-line tools so that anyone can contribute to the community. Particular focus is placed on the crucial Valley of Death phase of startups.

Created in 2003 by entrepreneur Bijoy Goswami, it is most active in Austin. Gary Hoover, founder of Hoover's and Bookstop has called Bootstrap Austin "among the most effective tools for entrepreneurs that I have ever seen - and I've seen a lot."
