William Main Page, Briton, solicitor in the Scottish High Court, vice-consul of Czechoslovakia in eastern Scotland. Born 8 October 1869 in London. Esperantist from 1905. Secretary of Edinburgh Esperanto Society 1906-14, president 1945-15, 1920-21. Editor of "Esperanto Monthly", 1914-19 and of "The British Esperantist" 1920. Author of "Pitman's Commercial Esperanto", 1919. President of Scottish Esperanto Federation, 1927. President of World Congress in Edinburgh. Adviser of International Central Committee, 1923-26, vice president of British Esperanto Association. Chief collaborator of the Encyclopedia.
