North Jersey Media Group

North Jersey Media Group is a newspaper publishing and media firm serving northern New Jersey and headquartered in Hackensack, with a second office in Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson). The firm, owned by the Borg family, publishes The Herald News, which covers Passaic County, out of West Paterson and the state's second-largest newspaper, The Record, out of Hackensack. In addition to these two daily newspapers, the North Jersey Media Group publishes 41 community newspapers, numerous magazines, including (201) The Best of Bergen, and operates several local Web sites, including NorthJersey.com.[1]

North Jersey Media Group was formed in 2000 as an umbrella organization for all of the media interests of the Borg family, which has owned The Record since 1930.

As of March 8, 2010, North Jersey Media Group is also printing three Gannett Company-owned newspapers out of its Rockaway, New Jersey-based printing presses- the Journal News, the Poughkeepsie Journal, and USA Today. North Jersey Media Group does this on a contract basis, as Gannett has outsourced most of its newspapers' printing.
