Tupelo High School is the only public high school in Tupelo, Mississippi, U.S.. The campus consists of fourteen buildings, including a Performing Arts Center, an Advanced Technology Center, which houses the Global Language Lab, and a separate ninth-grade building. The entire campus has a capacity of 2000 students, though there are generally about 1,900 students who attend THS. They offer a curriculum containing 160 Carnegie units, 16 of which are Advanced Placement.

THS is a two-time National Blue Ribbon School award winner, having won the award in 1983-1984 and again in 1999-2000. [ [http://www.ed.gov/programs/nclbbrs/list-1982.pdf] ]

Student Life

Life for students at Tupelo High School is often described by the students themselves as heartwarming and enriching. Students generally attend class from 7:45 A.M. until 3:05 P.M. Monday through Friday. A normal school day consists of eight periods with one of those being a lunch period. Students, however, are not required to have a lunch period and many do not in order to allow more time for classes. Students are allowed five minutes between each fifty minute period to change classes.

The school has many extracurricular activities offered for students with everything from excellent athletic programs, fine arts, and many clubs.
