Dean Burch

Dean Burch

Dean Burch (December 20, 1927 – August 4, 1991) served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from October 31, 1969 to March 8, 1974, and as chairman of the Republican National Convention.

Burch was born in Enid, Oklahoma. He earned a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Arizona. Burch worked on Senator Barry Goldwater's staff and then served as the Republican National Chairman in 1964-1965.
