- Tatra T1
T1 was the very first
tram car based on the American Presidents' Conference Committee concept produced byCzechoslovakia n company ČKD Tatra. T1 was built between1952 and1958 . 287 multiple units of T1 were built. Most of the cars were used in Czechoslovakia, but 22 were shipped abroad, 2 being inWarszawa and the remaining 20 inRostov-on-Don .The first prototype of T1, T1 Tw 5001, ran in the streets of
Prague on22 January 1951 , which today is considered the step-father of all the Tatra trams. T1 Tw 5001 can be seen inStřešovice depot , where it is a tramway museum. The cars remained in use into the 1960s, before they were converted to vehicles of the typeTatra T3 . The last T1 was retired on4 April 1987 , inPlzeň .Production
