The 2003 LSU Tigers football team won the BCS National Championship, the first national championship for LSU since 1958. Under head coach Nick Saban, the Tigers cruised to an 11-1 regular season. The Tigers then defeated Georgia in the conference championship game to secure their spot in the 2004 Sugar Bowl to play Oklahoma for the BCS National Championship.
