"Phobetor" is a genus of pterodactyloid pterosaur, of the family Dsungaripteridae, named after the Greek god of nightmares. Originally described as a species of "Dsungaripterus" ("D. parvus"), it was soon recognized as a new genus, and given the name "Phobetor parvus". However, the genus name "Phobetor" is already being used for a fish (Krøyer, 1844), so a new genus name will be eventually assigned for the pterosaur.

"Phobetor" closely resembles "Dsungaripterus" in shape and form, save that the bill is straight, and does not curve upward. Even so, it is strongly suggested that like its relative, "Phobetor" was a shellfish-eating piscivore.
