Premio Lydia Tesio

The Premio Lydia Tesio is a Group 1 flat horse race in Italy for three-year-old and above thoroughbred fillies and mares. It is run over a distance of 2,000 metres (approximately 1 mile 2 furlongs) at Capannelle Racecourse, Rome in October.

It is named in honour of Lydia Tesio who, with her husband, were one of the most important horse breeders in world racing history. The race was first run as a Group 1 in 2004, prior to which it was classed as a Group 2.
